The pandemic was an alarming time period on many levels, particularly during the early 2020s due to the high covid related deaths and the controversy surrounding the pandemic itself . It was particularly stressful for individuals who were identified with health concerns and/or immunocompromised systems, as they appeared to be more at risk. Although, we were divided on many levels as a country, there appeared to be an increase awareness that we were all being impacted differently based on our health conditions. Medical providers, media and news outlets were inundating us with information around the clock. There was more attention focused on health and immune disorders and we were being more educated as a country.
We should continue to educate ourselves about health risks in order to better understand preventive measures and treatment options.
